Love Got Me Wrong by CryBabyCry | Track Review

WHEN: 30.04.2015

CryBabyCry are a trio from Wakefield and this is their latest single Love Got Me Wrong. These guys burst onto the scene accidentally after filling in an empty gig spot (that’s a story we must hear) in 2013 and have garnered quite the fan club in their home of Northern Ireland. They even managed to perform at last year’s Reading & Leeds Festival, and after checking out this song, I’m gutted I didn’t get to see them.

Love Got Me Wrong is a superb gritty uppercut to the face of the soppy love songs with guitar riffs that do not know how to quit, drums that hit harder than a punch to the dick, and vocals that scream the absolute passion out of love. CryBabyCry really let loose on this single, riffing into some intense psychedelic rock sections that sound fantastic, and the amount of vocal pair ups and vocal hooks are pretty freaking insane. They remind me of Kill It Kid when they burst onto the scene many years ago, and that’s a good thing.

This is a superb track full of twists and turns but one thing that’s constantly present is its desire to blow your mind with musical goodness. Love Got Me Wrong is gritty, catchy and just really freaking good man. Stream the track below, and come tell us how good it is by checking out Exploding Head Syndrome on Facebook and Twitter.
