I never thought the day would finally come but it has and it’s smoking a cigarette. Good golly miss Molly, it’s the return of Eagles of Death Metal! The side project of Josh Homme and the baby of Jesse Hughes hasn’t been heard shaking it’s dick with new material since 2008’s Heart On, and after years upon years of touring, of taking cocaine and looking like shit (slow down Jesse man) and of growing magnificent beards the band are finally back with a new single in the form of Complexity, with new album Zipper Down set for release in October!

For the hardcore Eagles’ fans Complexity is merely a revisit of Jesse Hughes’ track of the same name which appeared on his solo venture Boots Electric but nevertheless the track still hits HARD with fabulous boogie woogie. Guitar riffs aplenty ring their hearts out throughout, Josh Homme’s disco funk drumming is top notch, and the willy nillying of the guitars and horns makes this whole thing even more homo erotic, I love it.

It’s fun, it’s catchy, it’s everything you could want from Eagles of Death Metal. Zipper Down looks set to be one of the biggest releases of the year and is hopefully going to live up to seven years’ worth of blueballs. Stream Complexity below and look out for the new record on October 2nd. For more music reviews, free downloads and much splooge check out Exploding Head Syndrome on Facebook and Twitter.
