The Moons – Body Snatchers | Track Review

A couple months back we checked out the first single to come from The Moons called Heart And Soul. The lead single from the upcoming Mindwaves album channeled everything from Marc Bolan to David Bowie to give a hugely entertaining listen that definitely paid homage to glam rock and it’s ever sparkling trousers. Later this month the four piece will be releasing Body Snatchers, the new single which looks to not only expand on the psychedelic/glam rock first impression, but also keep us impatiently excited for the release of their third album Mindwaves.
Body Snatchers delivers once again with another dose of psychedelic riffs that come in stronger than a herd of elephants as The Moons pack this track with some intense drum beats. The track does a great job of keeping things tense while also making sure that there’s rhythm available all over the place, and I mean all over the place. Whether it’s drums, the guitars, the basslines or even the silence, there’s something embedded in the music that keeps the hips swinging! It’s awesome.
The Moons have released two solid singles to build anticipation for Mindwaves and by now it’s clear that the new album will be one hell of a listen. Both Heart And Souland Body Snatchers are cheeky little numbers that are catchy as hell, and yeah, it’s gonna be a good record.
